Konstrukta Cup
For my Product Form course, I was assigned to design a cup and coaster inspired by a historical art movement. I selected Russian Constructivism as the conceptual foundation for the project, drawing formal and graphic influence from the work of El Lissitzky.
The initial design was fabricated using FDM 3D printing, followed by sanding and painting to achieve the intended finish. However, the limitations of this process did not meet my expectations for surface quality and precision. In response, I revisited and refined the design, adapting it for PolyJet 3D printing. This shift in fabrication method resulted in significantly improved detail, surface finish, and overall fidelity to the Constructivist-inspired geometry.
